Friends and Family,

Please rejoice with us in the adoption of our little girl who we have affectionately named, Julie Ann Blake. Julie is currently in China and we hope to travel to pick her up in late March or early April. These are the photos that the Chinese Adoption Agency sent us. We also received a medical evaluation. Julie appears to be a healthy young girl who needs a home and a family to love her. We are glad that God providentially landed Julie in our family.

Please pray that we will be parents and siblings that love her and provide all that she needs so that she can know God and enjoy a relationship with Him.

As we travel to China to meet Julie and get to know her, we will post pictures and other travel information on this web page. Thank you to all of you who have been supportive and encouraging as we have pursued this adoption. God bless you,

Setting up our adoption blog

Friends and family,

We wanted to create this blog spot so that you all could stay current on our adoption activities as Julie Ann Blake is brought into our family. We will try to post to this blog spot as we travel to China to pick up Julie.

At this point, it appears that we will be traveling to China at the end of March or the first part of April. We have all of our paper work complete and are just waiting on an authorization to travel from the Chinese government. Susan, Joe, Trevor and Erika will all travel to China for 12 to 15 days to visit Julie's land of birth, finalize her adoption, and then bring her to her new home and family.

Please pray that our family will be prepared to love this little girl and to meet her physical, emotional and spiritual needs. We are thankful to God for this opportunity.
